Environmental Reporting

ABP is fully committed to reporting our environmental performance to the public and participating in benchmarking schemes that measure our performance and progress against UK business in general.

ABP participates in the Business in the Community (BiTC) Corporate Responsibility Index.  Our performance in 2005 secured a ranking of 87 in the index and we were cited as having outstanding performance in corporate strategy and environmental management.

The Annual Environment Index, formerly known as the BiE index benchmarks companies against their peers, and whole sectors against one another, on the basis of their environmental management and performace in key impact areas.  The Index has been developed in recent years to include environmental performance questions, as well as management,  and is now open to participation to companies in the FTSE 250.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Report

We published ABP’s first Corporate Social Responsibility Report in May 2003. The CSR reports set out our up-to-date environment policy, objectives and methodology for implementing the policy, alongside ABP's policies for health and safety and our involvement in local community activities.  Together with this website, we feel we now have in place a comprehensive reporting schedule by which to communicate our environmental-management progress.  For the 2006 CSR report, please click here.
